and family, you’ve found it.

Our guided rock climbing trips are a
fantastic way to find out why this area is one of the most popular

climbing destinations in the world. Our guides have a mix of AMGA training and certification and a lifetime of experience. We cater to a any experience level. We also
provide all gear and equipment.

*Half day trips are up to 5 hours. Full day trips are anything over 5 hours.

Guided rock climbing trips and classes are available 7 days a week. Please contact
us to reserve a day. 24 hour notice is preferred and 1 week notice for groups of 5 of more.

Basic Rock Climbing
Pre-requisites: none
This is an entry level course for persons with little or no rock climbing experience. You will learn knots, gear, terminology, belaying and rappelling. Also included will be simple rope set-ups and technique coaching.
1 or 2 days

Intermediate Rock Climbing
Pre-requisites: Basic belaying/rappelling skills, should be able to tie the figure 8 knot, each participant may be able to provide their own harness, climbing shoes and belay/rappel device. If not, we can provide them for you. You should have some rock climbing experience before taking this course. This course is for climbers seeking additional knowledge and experience,  to  boost ,  confidence and safety in their own abilities. Focus is either on rope and anchor systems or technique.
1 or 2 days. 3 people max. $175 per person, per day.

Lead Climbing Instruction-Trad or Sport
Pre-requisites: You should have at least six months of frequent climbing experience or equivalent. You should know how to belay and rappel. You should also provide your own harness, climbing shoes and belay/rappel device if possible.
This course focuses on either sport leading or traditional leading. All aspects of leading are covered in the traditional course. Some topics covered include: gear and bolt anchors, route finding, passive and active gear, cleaning bolt anchors and setting up rappel anchors.
1-2 days for sport leading. 2 people max.
2-3 days for traditional leading. 2 people max.
$175 per person, per day.

Gym to Outdoor Transition Course
Pre-requisites: You should have some experience climbing indoors.
When climbing outdoors for the first time with only gym climbing experience there are some considerations for safety and enjoyment of those first few trips to the crags. Let us help you make that transition with ease and confidence. Focus is on leading considerations, cleaning bolt anchors and rappelling and belaying.
1 day, 2 people max.
$175 per person per day.

What to Bring/Special Considerations:
We provide all the gear for rock climbing. You should wear clothing that doesn’t restrict your movements (especially your legs) and that is suitable for the weather, sturdy shoes for hiking (no sandals or flip flops please!), and bring plenty of water for everyone in your group, especially in the warmer months. We will be hiking to all of the climbing areas that we visit so plan on walking up to 20 minutes prior to climbing.
Some other suggested items:
Sunscreen, insect repellent, camera, hat and/or sunglasses, your own harness and climbing shoes (if you have them), food, rain gear.

Please DO NOT bring:
Pets, coolers, alcoholic beverages, lawn chairs or firearms. You should bring no more than you can comfortably carry in a small day pack. We can provide small daypacks for your personal things.
We require a 25% non-refundable deposit to reserve climbing dates. Deposit will be returned if you cancel by phone or e-mail no less than two weeks prior to scheduled event, or if Red River Outdoors cancels due to weather or other uncontrollable circumstances.
